Phi Beta Sigma is an International Fraternity with chapters spread across the United States, U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, Europe, Africa, Japan, and South Korea. While its members are diverse, they share certain ideals in common. In Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity - Brotherhood, Scholarship, and Service are the significant influences. Brotherhood develops between men and becomes an indestructable bond. With Scholarship there comes achievement. And Service to one's fellow man, there is born a unique sense of usefulness that enriches all of life.

 

Remember, the parties and stepshows come and go, but the brotherhood will last a lifetime. Fraternities have personalities. As you would measure an individual, so you should measure a fraternity.

Membership Requirements

Membership in this Fraternity shall be limited to any full-time student that meets the following standards:

  • Non-transfer students must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.70, having acquired 30 semester hours at JSU and be enrolled at JSU the preceding two semesters.

  • Transfer students must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.70, having earned at least 18 semester hours at JSU and have been enrolled full-time at least one semester at JSU immediately prior to being eligible for membership intake.
